Are you a high school student looking to do your undergrad in English, or a college student/graduate looking to earn a Master’s or Doctoral Degree in English in one of the nicest areas of Japan? If so, Ritsumeikan University may be right for you!
Ritsumeikan University, with three main campuses located in the beautiful old capital of Kyoto, scenic Shiga, and the bustling Osaka, offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Degree Programs taught in English to students from around the world. With over 3000 international students enrolled (no. 3 in Japan!), Ritsumeikan has a wealth of experience in providing top notch education to students from all corners of the globe.
Application to our English language programs is easy, and can be done from the comfort of your home through a simple and straightforward online application. Moreover, it’s possible to be selected for certain scholarships before coming to Japan, which are notified to you at the time of your selection for admission to the university. These include a one year 100%, 50%, or 20% Tuition Reduction for undergraduates (can be reapplied for in subsequent years), or a two/three year 100% Tuition Reduction for Master’s/Doctoral Program applicants. For Master’s applicants, we similarly offer other scholarships, such as the “Academic Excellence Award”, which reduce tuition fees by a fixed amount rather than a percentage, and stipend style awards like “Saionji” at the undergraduate level. After enrollment, students of all levels may apply for further scholarships from outside the school, as well as grants and funding from within.
As for academics, Ritsumeikan offers the following English language taught degree programs in topics ranging from the humanities to the sciences.
