Main Areas of Study
Josai International University has campuses in Togane, Chiba, and Kioicho, Tokyo, with each campus having a global atmosphere where students from Japan and abroad, local residents, and faculty members from various backgrounds all come together. The university offers a wide range of studies in the humanities and social sciences through its Faculty of International Humanities, Faculty of Tourism, Faculty of Management and Information Sciences, and Faculty of Media Studies. Additionally, it connects learning in health, medical care, and welfare through the Faculty of Health Sciences (scheduled to open in April 2025), which includes the Department of Nursing, Department of Physical Therapy, Department of Medical Pharmacy, and Department of Social Work Studies. In addition, the university has a graduate school consisting of seven research departments, as well as a special Japanese Language Program for international students. As an international university, it has partnerships with 248 overseas universities and hosts over 1,000 international students.
Tuition Fee Reduction
When applying to the Department of Inter-cultural Studies, Department of International Exchange Studies, Department of Tourism, Department of Management Sciences, Department of Media and Communications, and Department of Social Work Studies at the Chiba Togane Campus, applicants can submit a tuition fee reduction application form. If selected for the tuition fee reduction program after evaluation, the tuition fee for the first year will be reduced by 30%. The decision on whether or not to grant tuition fee reductions for the second year onwards will be made each academic year after the submission of a tuition fee reduction application form and an evaluation of the student's academic performance.
All-English Program
The All-English Program consists of courses that are taught in English and are open to international students. Courses includes subjects such as "Selected Topics in Japanese Manga and Animation."
Pre-arrival Admission Approval
After the announcement of acceptance, admission procedure documents must be mailed to the Admissions Office and must arrive by the admission procedure deadline. After payment of the admission fee, tuition fees, and other related costs and fees has been completed, the "Certificate of Admission" will be issued. In order to obtain a student visa, you will need to submit the "Certificate of Admission," "Certificate of Eligibility," and all other necessary documents to the Japanese embassy or consulate in your home country.
Career Paths After Graduation
Graduates have gone on to work for major companies both in Japan and abroad, including ANA Narita Airport Service, Tokyo Marriott Hotel, Koei Tecmo Games, and Japan Tourism Corporation Inc.
